Hey! Its Caitlin.

Its nice to meet you! I am thrilled you are here. Welcome to my blog about all things music! I hope it inspires you to enjoy the magic of music as much as I do.

My name is Caitlin Petros. I am a senior at the University of Florida pursing a double degree in trumpet performance and public relations. I have been playing trumpet for over 13 years. The magic of music is just as real to me now as it was when I first felt the spark, if not more. I have been able to travel nationally to D.C., New York and Miami and globally to Paris and Nice, France, to perform. At the University of Florida, I have been a part of the Marching Band, Wind Symphony, Graduate Brass Quintet, New Music Ensemble, Jazz Band, Brass Band and Gainesville Orchestra. I am a member of the Trumpet Studio at UF and study with Dr. Randolph Lee.

Outside of Public Relations and Trumpet, I am involved with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at UF and attend North Central Baptist Church in Gainesville. I have served on the Leadership Team at the BCM in which I led a bible study within the School of Music for fellow music students. I am a fan of all UF sports and work with the University Athletic Association as a baseball usher during the springtime. I am passionate about people, music and  I enjoy spending time with friends!

I have been a marketing intern with UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Science's Soil and Water Department as well as a marketing intern with the Jacksonville Symphony. I am currently a communications development intern at the Harn Museum of Art in Gainesville.

My goal is to incorporate music into my career as public relations practitioner. Whether it is performing on the side, working as a public relations practitioner for a symphony orchestra, or simply enjoying music in my free time, I am excited to carry music with me for my whole life.
